Ice skating reward for students with excellent attendance and behaviour
Students who rarely if ever ‘skate on thin ice’ found themselves doing just that as a reward for their performance this term.
The large group of students who had been awarded consistent 1s for behaviour in class and attendance were taken to the rink at Cribbs Causeway with staff for a fun afternoon of skating.
Head of House Mr Hurran said: “120 awesome students with 97% plus attendance and fantastic behaviour and work in class went ice skating last week. We had a great time listening to Christmas tunes, drinking hot chocolate, skating around & occasionally slipping over! Make sure you attend school every day ready to learn from January to book your place on the Easter Rewards Trip!”
As a school we strongly believe in rewarding excellence in all its forms.
Under our behaviour system, if students perform exceptionally well all lesson, then the teacher will award a “1” – a celebration of their hard work and effort, brilliant contributions or dedication.
