Wow! Jason recites 88 digits of Pi

Published on 23/03/18

OSB was abuzz last week with students battling it out to recite the most digits of Pi ... but coming out on top, was Dunmore student Jason Noel with an impressive 88 digits.

Students were set the challenge on Pi Day, March 14, as part of a Trust in Learning Academies (TiLA) competition.

It was a clean sweep for OSB - not only was Jason crowed winner of TiLA's secondary category, but we also claimed 2nd and 3rd place in the competition.

Omar and Mariam managed to recite 51 digits, while Amelia recited 47.

Other students showed impressive memory capacity with many recalling at least 20 digits.

You can watch the video of our students reciting Pi on our Twitter pages, @OrchardSB and @OSBMaths
