Sharing ideas for a fairer society

Published on 18/10/17

Students have been working with local residents to explore and build on the ideas, identified by Penpole schoolboys in 1948, about what is needed to make a fairer society.

Four sessions have been run at Orchard School to collectively design a map of an ideal Southmead for 2018 - it follows on from the Meadows to Meaders project which documented the history of the area.

This culminated in a final exhibition and workshop for the public on 17th October.

The sessions have been part of the Journey to Justice programme which aims to educate people about human rights movements, past and present.
