What’s it all about?
In Year 7 both French and Spanish, having experience both languages students choose to continue with either French or Spanish. All students start GCSE in Year 9 and most will continue in Years 10 and 11.
Learning a language gives you the opportunity to improve your literacy through communicating with people from France or Spain and you will learn explicit skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Our students have 2 lessons per week of Modern Foreign Languages (‘MFL’) at Key Stage 3.
If they have chosen to study a language at Key Stage 4, they have 3 lessons a week.
