Summer Reading Champions wanted!

Published on 12/07/16

Would you like to volunteer in libraries across Bristol this summer? Then join the Bristol City Council's Summer Reading Champions scheme!

2016 brings us The Big Friendly Read, this year's Summer Reading Challenge, which encourages children of all ages to continue reading throughout the summer holidays.

This year, Bristol City Council is wanting young people aged 14-24 to volunteer in libraries across the city to help children to complete their Summer Reading Challenge.

As Summer Reading Champions (role profile attached below) these volunteers will be able to offer a wide range of tasks, from helping register children to creating articles or short films about The Big Friendly Read in the libraries.
