As two teachers from Kinyara Secondary School in Uganda, we have been thrilled to visit OSB and meet the staff and students.

This is our account of our visit.

We will also be publishing photos which we will share on both the OSB website and our own Facebook page.

Our visit to OSB marks the turning point for the partnership the two schools have had since the year 2007.

This year we have continued to observe that OSB has a strong housing system where even the behaviour of an individual student is followed.

The care and compassion the teachers give to the learners at OSB is the best practice the teacher should show.

We found the attention given to students with special needs was interesting. Though this is at KSS, we need to emphasise such practices in our school, especially dealing with students who learn at a different pace. We loved the display of teaching materials and rules in the various class rooms.

We have shared what our country is and our school is in particular and we were overwhelmed by the number of questions asked by OSB students.

Though the above were part of our mission to OSB we also enjoyed walking through Bristol city, visited several historical buildings and sites like the Bristol cathedral, the suspension bridge, the sea side, we went for bowling and other schools. We've enjoyed new delicacies and hospitality from our hosts and the homes of other staff members. We are sincerely grateful to OSB staff and students for the love and hospitality shown to us.

Long live OSB, long live the partnership between OSB and KSS.
