It was a proud moment for Year 8 Dylan Hunt as he finished not once, but twice, on the podium at a recent national kickboxing competition.

Dylan competed against other youngsters from across the country in the Watford Open Nationals, achieving a gold trophy and bronze medal.

He also fought in a higher weight catergory in the 16 years and under, light contact group.

Dylan, who trains locally with Epic Martial Arts, regularly competes at a national level, and has also competed abroad.

Mum, Marina, said: "It was a very long day but a great result as he had to compete at a higher weight this time."

Kickboxing is a form of martial arts, practised for self-defense, general fitness or as a contact sport.
