Orchard pupils drop everything and read

Orchard School's first Drop Everything and Read event took place on Friday 7 November during tutor time, where pupils read the first chapter of Benjamin Zephaniah's new book Terror Kid.

Students read aloud in their classes, with teachers and staff also read along.

Students read aloud in their classes, with teachers and staff also read along. 

The text's thought-provoking themes of social justice and activism were enjoyed by all.

The book will also be the text for the Big Read competition starting the week of Monday 10 November, where students read the book and complete a quiz to receive prizes.
