Boys' handball teams qualify for winter games

Published on 13/01/17

Our under 13s and 15s boys' handball teams have qualified for the West of England Sport Trust winter games.

The under 15s played in a tough qualifying tournament Ashton Part School. They lost their first two matches, but after a short discussion, a couple of positional changes and a pointer, they went on to win their last two matches.

They stepped up and played some completely brilliant handball - fast, aggressive, creative and intelligent! A huge congratulations to the whole squad.

Under 15s MVP was Steen Maxwell. Captain's MVP, Max Grant. A special mention also goes to Nathan Herbert who was brilliant in his performance and his position as captain!

The under 13s received a bye - a special privilege given the team, making them exempt from playing in the first round and putting them directly through to winter games.
