Students impress on Mock Interview Day
Published on 07/12/16
Years 10 and 11 took part in Mock Interview Day yesterday - the business professionals who interviewed them had nothing but glowing feedback about our students!
Nerves were aplenty yesterday as Year 10 and 11 students had the opportunity to be interviewed by local business professionals.
It was part of Mock Interview Day, which helps our students prepare for real-life job interviews.
The students acted extremely professional and composed themselves well.
Ninety said that they found the event "very useful".
"It was a really good experience and the interviewer was really good - I really enjoyed it."
"I gained knowledge about different types of jobs and the interviewers were really friendly."
"I found it hard at first, but once I started talking it was very easy and I suddenly felt confident and I now know it’s important for my future."
We received some glowing feedback from the interviewers:
Suzie Wood said: "You have some really great kids at your school and I wish I had more of this at their age!"
Tina Robinson, Avon and Somerset Police, said: "I do mock interviews at a lot of schools and I was really impressed with the standard of the students and their behavior. In particular I was really impressed with Shramake, Jerome and Zahida – they answered well, listened, looked smart and responded well."
Paul Hook, Rolls Royce, said: "The students behaviour was excellent and all my students were engaged in the sessions."
