STEM Learning is working with a small number of schools in the UK to prepare learning materials to help other schools improve their teaching practice.

As part of this, filming will be taking place at Orchard School on Tuesday 2 February and may include images of students in corridors, in the playground or elsewhere on the school premises.

If you do not want your child to be filmed, please contact me in writing by 29 January 2016. If we do not hear from you in writing by that date, we will take it that you give permission for your child to take part in filming.

The finished videos will form part of a free online course that will be offered via the FutureLearn platform. Images from the filming may be used for other educations purposes and related publicity.

This is a new and interesting project that will benefit our school as well as other schools, teacher and students, so I hope that you can allow your child to take part.

If you  have any queries please feel free to contact me or Mrs Fiddian.
