Victories aplenty for Orchard's rugby teams

It's been a fantastic week for rugby at Orchard School Bristol.

It's been a fantastic week for rugby at Orchard School Bristol. 

Not only is our Year 9 squad celebrating an outstanding 44-0 victory over Redland Green School, but Orchard's Year 7s are also jumping for joy after being crownded joint winners at the North Bristol Rugby Festival. 

The Year 9s' match - held on 13th October - saw eight tries scored against Redland Green - four from Anthony Smith, three from Reece Oliver and one from Lewis Chant. 

Man of the matches went to Frank Godfree, who worked tirelessly throughout the whole match, and top scorer, Anthony Smith. 

This victory follows on from Orchard's Year 9s' impressive 31-5 win over Bristol Cathedral School last week. 

The following evening, 14th October, witnessed Orchard's Year 7s beat three of its four opponents in the North Bristol Rugby Festival, with a 5-5 draw against Redland Green's A team. 

The boys won against Redland Green's B team 10-0, Fairfield 40-0 and Bristol Cathedral School 15-0. 

Orchard and Redland Green's As are now through  to the semi-finals, where they will be up against winners from South Bristol. 

Players of the tournament went to Toby Popple and Alfie Boyd.
