What is plagiarism?

Plagiarism is taking somebody else’s work and passing it off as our own. It can also be called cheating.

Why is plagiarism wrong?

Plagiarism is wrong because according to our interviewees ‘you are not only cheating others, but also yourself’. It shows that the pupil does not understand the material and maybe lazy.

According to one of our sources, plagiarism occurs mostly in college and university, but can also be found in secondary school, especially in the higher years and sets.
