What’s it all about?

Initially, you will learn either French or Spanish for 3 years (Years 7-9). All students start GCSE in Year 9 and most will continue in Years 10 and 11. In addition, Year 9 students will be invited to a residential trip to France or Spain.

Learning a language gives you the opportunity to improve your literacy through communicating with people from France or Spain and you will learn explicit skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
