Flying Start Challenge
Our students had a fantastic time taking part in the regional final of the Flying Start Challenge at Bristol Aerospace this term.
The boys were tasked with the challenge of designing and making their own gliders, and then competing with other local schools to see which group's glider could go the furthest.
One of our group's gliders flew 9 metres, but unfortunately this did not qualify for them to go through to the finals.
Besides putting their engineering skills to the test, the boys also had the opportunity to see the impressive Concorde Alpha Foxtrot - the last Concorde to be built and to fly - and other types of aircrafts.
