We are developing our ICT/Computing curriculum from September 2018 onwards.
Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 , 9):
- Basic hardware, internet safety, web & html, photoshop, networking, basic programming (robotics), cyber security and game design
For GCSE (Years 10 and 11), we plan to run a Digital Applications qualification from 2018, which involves designing your own multimedia product, and from 2019 the GCSE Computer Science qualification - involving learning how to write code.
The school recognises the value of ICT and is keen to make this a growing part of the school.
We are re-designing two rooms this summer to have a suite of 32 Apple Macs and 32 desktop computers, so all students will be able to work individually on high quality machines.
